About epsSMASH#

epsSMASH allows the rapid genome-wide identification, annotation and analysis of gene clusters related to the production of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) in bacterial genomes.

epsSMASH is powered by several open source tools: NCBI BLAST+, HMMer 3, LogoMotif, PySVG and JQuery SVG.

epsSMASH contributors#

epsSMASH is an ongoing collaboration between current developers of antiSMASH (Simon Shaw/Kai Blin/Tilmann Weber, DTU Biosustain) and researchers from the Center for Microbial Communities at Aalborg University. Currently, the project is coordinated by Anders Daugberg (Aalborg University).
